RACQ CareFlight Rescue’s iconic blue and yellow helicopters have treated more than 15,000 sick and injured patients since operations began in 1981.
With a fleet of three helicopters, specifically configured and equipped for emergency medical transportation, RACQ CareFlight is regularly sent to serious accidents, where early medical intervention can often be the difference between life and death.
Nearly 7 out of 10 of these missions are in the Toowoomba and South West Qld region. Each of these missions cost approximately $10,000 and are provided at no direct cost to patients.
A part time South West operation was established over 3 years ago in response to the community’s plea for a local service. The Toowoomba based service can respond to accidents west of Toowoomba up to an hour quicker than any of the state’s other medical helicopter providers.
This service is here as a direct result of the commitment to the Toowoomba region by dedicated members of the community. StruXi Design is one of the dedicated businesses bringing urgently needed medical services to our community.
