$2.5M COCT Multi Use Hall, construction progress
The Multi Use Hall at the Christian Outreach College Toowoomba is underway. This article provides progressive images of its construction.
StruXi is the Project Superintendent. G&K Lawson Constructions Pty Ltd is the Builder.
This project is being delivered under the Building the Education Revolution (BER) program which is the largest element of the Australian Government’s Nation Building - Economic Stimulus Plan.
- 07/09/10 – Structural steel is completed to the main hall roof
- 31/08/10 – Structural steel commences. Looking at the stage within the hall.
- 31/08/10 – All tilt panels are stood
- 25/08/10 – Stage on left, Hall in middle, Classrooms / Toilets on right
- 25/08/10 – Erection of the tilt panels, blades to elevated walkway from top oval
- 17/08/10 – Preparation for casting last 2 concrete tilt panels
- 03/08/10 – Elevated walkway foundations
- 03/08/10 – Casting of tilt panels continue
- 27/07/10 – Blockwork to toilets and change rooms on gnd floor
- 27/07/10 – Casting of concrete tilt panels
- 20/07/10 – Hall (foregnd), Gnd floor learning areas & amenities (backgnd)
- 20/07/10 – Standing in a General Learning Area (GLA)

- 07/07/10 – Foundations for elevated walkay from top oval

- 17/06/10 – Strip footings completed, Casting beds for tilt panels in background
- 04/06/10 – Ingroung plumbing to Gnd Floor amenities
- 25/05/10 – Excavation for strip footings
- 13/05/10 – Installing bored piers
