Herries Street Mixed Use

In the Toowoomba Central Business District StruXi was presented with the  challenge of creating a mixed use multi-storey development that would be unique to the city’s landscape.

The Client’s brief had to be balanced against the parameters of the local planning scheme to create a concept that would provide a 3 storey building with a basement carpark.  The building is connected to the street by a series of retail / commercial tenancies on the ground floor, offices over and residential apartments on the third storey complete with rooftop gardens.

The resulting design is a striking balance between economic viability and engaging aesthetics.  All spaces within the building have been carefully considered to ensure access to natural light and ventilation is maintained.

The design outcome has exceeded the initial brief and the client is looking forward to progressing the development.
